This image is of a perfume bottle from home. I chose to photograph this because of the bottle's shape and because of the shadows and highlights it would create, due to lighting and reflections, when photographed.
This next image is of the same subject as before however it's been photographed much closer than before. As the camera was directly in front of the bottle, the mirrored surface captured the colour of the camera in it's reflection and this therefore changed the colour of the bottle making it very similar yet also very different to the previous image.
This next image is, again, of the same subject as the previous two images. However, the pom pom has been removed and the camera replaced in the position of the first image. As there is no major black elements within and around the subject, the mirrored surface doesn't have a lot of contrast in the colours but there is still a visible shape within. Shadows were also created from the studio light and this is therefore another shape within the images.
This image has been captured in a darker light than the previous image. The subject is a small bush that has been taken off of a plant. As there are many indentations within the subject, there is a clearly visible shape within all of the small leaves. The overall subject itself is also a shape. There is therefore, shapes within a shape which, I felt, made this image perfect for the shape subject matter.
This final image is of makeup packaging. This photo was taken in similar light to the previous image. This subject is a clear rectangle and through reflections on the corners of the packaging, we can see that the shape is 3D and smooth. I believe that this image is the worst of the best.
