Reflection and Framing Definition

Reflection and Framing
Reflection - The throwing back by a body or surface of light, heat, or sound without absorbing it. The image may appear mirrored.

Framing - Whether it be a very literal frame (that went through a popular “prop” phase), environmental, or structural framingframing with light or lack of light, they all work well to bring the viewer's eye to your subject.

Both of these images link to the subject matter of Reflection and Framing. There is a clear reflection in the first image to the left which is represented through the water. Furthermore, there is a clear frame within the second image represented with a sculpture.

Surrealism - A 20th-century avant-garde movement in art and literature which sought to release the creative potential of the unconscious mind, for example by the irrational juxtaposition of images.
