Line Straight Images

Top 5 Images
These are my Top 5 images. All of these images hit the subject matter of lines. Each images shows a different individual line with each represent a different meaning and present different effects on the audience. I used the image bank as inspiration whilst taking these images.
This is my favourite image of Line. Reason being is hat it's a simple image with a lot of connotations behind it. It could be a gate holding something in or keeping something out for example. The shadows created with the light adds effect through dimension.

This photograph of a brick building with wooden slates shows a variety of lines; Horizontal, Diagonal and Curved. Each of these lines have a different connotation however as the Horizontal lines are more dominant, there overall effect of this image is that of peace tranquility.

This next image is very abstract. It's simply a vertical line across a blue background. The singe lines shows a lot of power and dominance as it's the only thing in the frame. There are a few imperfections like a few small white dots on the blue and the line is slightly slanted but whilst editing, I will remove these imperfections. The image is one of my favourites.

Next, the image of a wooden bench presents Diagonal lines. the lines together show a movement and direction. This is my least favourite for a multitude of reasons. One being that the background is quite distracting as there is a range of different clouds and textures within. I felt that this took away from the effect slightly but the lines are still successful.

This final image of converging lines is very simple yet effective. The lines within are converging to a point out of frame. Despite the point not being seen we still can connote that the lines are working towards a point. The composition of this image isn't perfect. During editing I will crop and rotate the image to make the lines straight in the frame and to also make the image symmetrical.
