Texture Straight Images

This first image is one of my favourites taken for Texture. The image is of another student's hair. The light beaming onto her hair created an effect to the audience as the hair on the top of the image looks more sharp, where as the hair on the bottom of the image, where there was less light, looks smoother to touch than the top. The image is well composed as it is framed well and in focus. When looking at this image I thought that the hair, because of it's colour and style (Blue and Wavy), replicated an oceans waves.





This next image is another one of my favourites. The image is of a pineapple's outer skin. There a few different textures shown within this image. For example: the leaves growing out of the buds are quite sharp and give the impression of danger. However, the buds themselves look quite smooth and silky, creating a contrast in textures.











This next image is of a leaf with rain drops resting on it. I decided to capture this image due to the single texture created through a couple of different things in the image. Both the leaf and the raindrops create a silky texture. The raindrops also create a glass-like effect on the audience causing another texture to be formed through the connotations. This image is well composed, but not perfect. There are a few edges of the leaf being shown through the corners of the frame. This image is well focused.





This fourth image is of a tree trunk with natural cuts and marks through it. This image also has many textures - such as: the rough texture of the tree trunk itself and the smooth texture of the parts if the tree where the park has being peeled off. As this is an abstract image, the frame didm't have to be perfect as there were many sides of the tree that I could capture to make this effect. Furthermore, the image is in focus. This is a well composed image due to this.






This final image of a berry plant and a bush has many textures being presented. The leaves in the background create a smooth, silky texture. The foreground holds a berry plant that has pointy leaves, which creates a sharp texture, and the berries themselves which create another smooth texture. This image is well composed however there is one fault. The image's background does include a small part of a building that this bush was in front of. Whilst editing, I will try to mask this as well as possible.
